The calorie counter that changes the plan. Not you.

Take a photo of your meal, or just type what you ate. Velora counts the calories and macros, flags allergens a dish might hide, and fixes the plan when progress stalls, instead of making you feel bad.

Six things other calorie counters won't do.

It changes your target

Two weeks of data, not this morning's weigh-in. Genuinely stalled? You get a new number and a reason.

It finds hidden allergens

Caesar dressing made with anchovies. Pesto thickened with cashews. It warns you about what a menu card leaves out.

You can fix any log

Change a portion three days later in two taps. Your totals update, and it costs you no AI scan.

It answers "what's for dinner"

Recipes built around the calories and protein you have left today, and what you've already turned down.

It counts the quiet minutes

Guided sessions with rain, ocean and forest. Sit down for ten, leave after three, and those three still count.

It admits when it's guessing

Every item shows how sure it is about the portion, so you know what's worth a second look.

Take a photo. Or just describe it.

Type "two eggs on toast and a coffee" the way you'd text a friend, or point the camera at your plate. No database to search, no scrolling past forty kinds of yogurt.

  • Calories, protein, carbs, fat and fiber, plus a score out of 10
  • Reads food from everywhere, including whatever you grew up eating
  • Same meal tomorrow? One tap, no photo needed

Other apps show a red number. Velora tells you what to change.

It watches your last two weeks, then says plainly whether the plan is working. One heavy morning is never treated as failure.

  • Pick a date and see the calories, or pick the calories and see the date
  • Works the same whether you are gaining or losing
  • Log a workout and today's food budget grows to match
  • One short weekly note naming a single thing to work on

"What can I actually have for dinner?"

Short on protein with 600 calories spare? That's the meal it designs. Ask for something spicy and quick, then log it with one tap.

  • Say "make it spicier" and it adjusts, like a conversation
  • Vegetarian, vegan and your allergies respected every time
  • Say no to mushrooms once and you're done saying it
Being built, not in the first release

You are not the same on day 6 and day 24. Your plan shouldn't be either.

Energy, hunger and cravings move with your cycle, and most food apps pretend they don't. Velora will read the phase you are actually in and shift what it suggests to match.

  • Menstrual Iron-rich food and permission to take it easy
  • Follicular Energy climbing, a good window to train harder
  • Ovulation Peak energy, and the appetite that comes with it
  • Luteal More fuel, more rest, fewer arguments with yourself

Off by default. Nothing about your cycle is tracked, shown or sent anywhere until you turn it on yourself.

What you eat and what you weigh stays yours.

No ads, no trackers

No advertising code and no third-party tracking companies. Your meals never become something to sell you with.

The AI never learns your name

It gets your goals and today's numbers. Never your name, your email or where you are.

Leave whenever you like

Delete your account in the app and everything goes with it, permanently. No email thread, no waiting period.

I needed to put weight back on. Every app I could find was built to take it off.

An illness took the weight. Getting it back meant eating deliberately, and every calorie counter I tried treated a good day as a mistake. They only knew one direction.

Allergens made it worse. None of them would flag mine, so I was reading labels by hand inside an app that was supposed to do it for me.

So I paid for three. One counted calories. One tracked what I cannot eat. One gave me ten quiet minutes when my head needed them. None of them knew the others existed.

Velora is those three as one app, and it counts in both directions.

I built it because I needed it and could not find it.

JawaharFounder, Velora

The things you're actually wondering.

How is this different from other calorie counters?
Most apps show you a red number when you fall behind, and stop there. Velora looks at your last two weeks and tells you what to change, whether that is a new daily target or a meal that closes the gap. When progress stalls, the plan gets adjusted. Never you.
What does it cost?
Velora is free to download and starts with a free trial, everything unlocked, no card needed. After the trial it's a paid subscription. We haven't set the price yet, and we'd rather say so than invent a number and change it on you later. Waitlist members get founding-member pricing.
Is Velora a calorie tracker or a wellness app?
Both, and that is the point. Velora is a full AI calorie tracker, giving you calories, protein, carbs, fat and fiber from a photo or a sentence. It is also a holistic wellness app, because the same place holds your water, your weight, your workouts, your allergens and somewhere quiet to sit. Most people pay for two or three apps to cover that. Velora is one.
Does Velora work for weight gain?
Yes. Most calorie counters are built only for weight loss and treat a high-calorie day as a failure. Velora sets your targets for the direction you actually chose, so a weight gain plan gets a calorie surplus and higher protein, and a good day reads as a good day.
How accurate is the calorie count?
It's an estimate, and we say so. Every item shows how confident Velora is about the portion it guessed, and you can change the serving yourself in two taps. No app can weigh your food through a camera. The ones that never mention it are guessing too, just quietly.
Can it help with food allergies?
You tell Velora your allergies at setup and it watches every meal you log and every recipe it suggests. Because the same dish is made differently in different kitchens, it also warns you when something might contain your allergen depending on how it was prepared, and names the likely hidden source to ask about. Treat it as a well-read second pair of eyes, not a medical clearance. It can't see inside a kitchen or know what a restaurant put in the pan, so keep reading labels and asking staff when a reaction would be serious.
What if it gets my portion size wrong?
You fix it yourself, before or after you log it. Open the meal, tap "Edit portions", and change the serving on the item that was off. Your totals update by the difference, the meal stays where it was, and it doesn't use up one of your AI scans.
When does it launch?
Velora is in final testing and launches soon on Google Play. Join the waitlist and we'll send you exactly one email, on launch day.
Do I lose my streak if I miss a day?
There's no streak to lose. Miss a day and nothing resets, nothing is taken away, and nothing greets you with guilt when you come back.
Does it track periods or cycles?
Not yet. Nutrition that follows your cycle is being built and isn't in the first release. When it arrives, it stays switched off until you switch it on yourself.
What happens to my health data?
It stays yours. No advertising code, no third-party tracking companies, and your name and email are never sent to the AI. Deleting your account erases everything permanently. The full privacy policy has the detail.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not at first. Velora launches on Android, and an iPhone version is planned. Join the waitlist and tell us which phone you use, so we know how fast to move.
